Iphone down the pan!

Literally!! Fished it out so only in there for a few seconds.
Turned it off, leaving it for 24-48 hrs before turning it on and hoping for the best!
Any advise? Somebody mentioned rice to absorb the water? Also been told Apple to a like for like replacement of 250 quid for an iphone 6, anybody confirm? Gonna visit a store this afternoon if possible.

If you can cover it well in rice then that can help - it extracts the water.

Last year in Rhodes my mate jumped in the pool with his iPhone in his pocket, he left it in the sun for about 2 hours and it gradually started working, until it was finally back to normal.
So, fly to Rhodes for the weekend, put it on a sun lounger.

The bowl of rice thing can work, but doesn't always. Leave it in for two days longer than you think you should.
Alternatively get it to a local phone repair shop and they'll flush it with alcohol before any of the circuitry starts rusting.

Rice won't work if water has got inside. You may as well rub it with a dock leaf. Your phone is fucked.

OTB - quite right. Ideally a Belgian "blonde" beer and not for more than twenty-six minutes. 30% increase of success if the repairer is affecting a hat.

Put it in a preheated oven for 180c (gas mark 4), for about 45 mins.
If you're in a rush, microwave on full power for 5 mins.
